In the Central Highlands of Kenya, at an altitude of 1,600–1,800 meters, smallholder farmers from Nyeri County cultivate SL28 and SL34 — varieties renowned for their vibrant acidity.
The coffee cherries are handpicked and sent to washing stations, where they are depulped using the washed (wet) method. Afterward, the beans are dried for up to 20 days, ensuring consistent flavor development.
